Content Inc. director Gemma Greenwood has hosted the inaugural ATM Global Halal Tourism Summit at Arabian Travel Market 2017 in Dubai.
The half-day event, orchestrated by the team at Content Inc. in collaboration with Reed Travel Exhibitions, showcased the growing importance of the multi-billion dollar, global Islamic tourism sector.
Content Inc. secured leading experts in this field, representing entities including the Islamic Tourism Centre, an agency of Malaysia's Ministry of Tourism and Culture, recognised as the world's leading authority on Islamic tourism.
Other leading organisations represented included DinarStandard, Salam Standard, HalalBooking.com, Malaysia Tourism, Indonesia Tourism, Kyoto Tourism, Knight Frank, SerendipityTailormade, and Luxury Halal Travel.
The sessions highlighted the global economic impact of the Islamic travel sector, identifying opportunities for the Middle East region to gain a greater share of this lucrative market.
